What we can do for your organisation ?

Research Skills

We have experience of designing, implementing and managing all aspects of a research project: desk work (i.e. literature review), data collection, data analysis, and report writing. These projects have utilised either qualitative and/or quantitative methods; including interviews, surveys/questionnaires (including e-surveys), observations, focus groups, and case studies. In some studies I have used an 'action research' approach whereby those affected by the research are encouraged to actively participate, developing skills and confidence in the process.

The type of research we have conducted includes:

Service and project evaluation
Community consultation
Mapping service provision
Evaluating existing policies and practice (organisational development)

Knowledge

These research methods have been employed in the voluntary sector, social care & health (specifically in child and family), organisational development, and social work fields. However, much of the knowledge is applicable to a variety of other social fields. This experience and knowledge allows us to provide a service which is able to call upon a variety of research methods in a variety of social fields. These tools allow us to design 'fit-for-purpose' research studies that meet the demanding timescales and varying budgets of any organisation.
